Hope is an Open Heart by Lauren Thompson I was in a sentimental mood so this book really squeezed the heart muscles. The prose is lovely and is paired with photos that will mean something a little different with each reading. The author notes in the back add more to the story as you learn the stories behind the people in some of the photos. My favorite is "Hope is a candle flame in the darkness" paired with the photo of a girl from East Timor. Some of the proceeds from the book go to Volunteers of America.
